One person has died and another was injured after their vehicle crashed into a hydro pole, the Abbotsford Police Department (AbbyPD) says.
Officers were called to the stretch of Townlineship Road near Gladwin shortly after 7 p.m. Tuesday, AbbyPD says.
“Two occupants were extricated from the vehicle by first responders,” police said.
“Despite extensive life-saving efforts by first responders, the passenger succumbed to their injuries at the scene.”
The driver’s injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.
In a post on social media, the police department says the Integrated Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Service (ICARS) is helping in the investigation.
Townlineship Road was closed in both directions between Gladwin and Riverside Street for several hours after the crash, the post says.
