The Surrey Police Service (SPS) says it is investigating after a Cloverdale home was targeted in what’s believed to be an extortion-related shooting.
Officers were called to a home on 58 Avenue near 165 Street around 8 a.m. Tuesday after a homeowner reported finding what they believed to be gunshot damage on their home.
Upon arrival, police say they found a bullet hole on the home’s exterior and another piercing a garage door.
The shooting is believed to have happened sometime overnight, the SPS says.
No injuries have been reported.
The department’s extortion response team has since taken over the case.
Anyone with information or dashcam footage is asked to call the SPS non-emergency line.
