Get ready for a historic moment in the Toronto Blue Jays broadcasting booth this Friday night!
Madison Shipman is set to make her television broadcasting debut on Sportsnet, teaming up with Ben Shulman to cover the Blue Jays’ clash against the San Diego Padres.
Shipman is set to make history as the first woman to call a regular-season game for the Blue Jays and will be part of the broadcast team for the entire three-game series.
While this will be Shipman’s first regular-season appearance, she is not new to the Blue Jays organization, having already called two spring-training games in Dunedin earlier this year.
With a professional softball background at the University of Tennessee and prior experience as an analyst and commentator for ESPN, Shipman brings a wealth of expertise to the broadcasting booth.
The Blue Jays head to San Diego riding high on a two-game winning streak after their recent victorious series against the San Francisco Giants.
