Montreal authorities have announced the apprehension of a fourth individual in connection with the tragic shooting of a 55-year-old man in the Côte-des-Neiges–Notre-Dame-de-Grâce (CDN–NDG) neighborhood on February 2, 2025.
According to reports from the Montreal police (SPVM), emergency responders were dispatched around 11:45 p.m. on February 2, 2025, following reports of a shooting incident. Despite resuscitation efforts at the scene, the victim succumbed to his injuries after being transported to a local hospital.
Earlier this year, three men were arrested in connection with the same shooting case.
In a recent development, on July 14, 2026, 21-year-old Ricardo Mathieu François was apprehended in an Ontario detention center with ties to the shooting incident. Appearing in court via video conference, François is currently facing charges of first-degree murder and conspiracy to commit murder.
