Authorities in Hamilton are currently probing the tragic passing of a man whose body was discovered in a culvert early Wednesday.
According to reports, law enforcement was summoned to the northern stretch of Fruitland Road following the grim find by a passerby near the lake, with the man found partially submerged in the water.
Tragically, the man was pronounced deceased at the scene. While the victim has been identified, his identity is being withheld pending notification of his family.
Police suspect foul play in the incident and believe that the man did not meet his demise at the location where he was discovered.
