Small Aircraft Crash-Lands at Longueuil Airport, Miraculously No Injuries Reported

A private aircraft experienced a landing mishap at Longueuil airport, prompting emergency services to respond and causing a temporary disruption in commercial flight operations.

According to officials from the Montreal Metropolitan Airport (MET), a private plane encountered difficulties during its landing procedure. The lone occupant of the aircraft was swiftly transported to a hospital, with authorities confirming that there are no life-threatening concerns.

Emergency response teams from both the airport and the Longueuil region acted promptly following the incident, ensuring the safety of the situation. By late Thursday afternoon, the airport announced that the runway had been reopened, allowing normal airport activities to resume.

Due to the brief closure of the runway, some flights were delayed. The MET reassured the public that they are in full cooperation with relevant authorities to address the situation effectively.

In a statement released on Thursday evening, MET declared that after thorough inspections and necessary checks, airport operations have returned to normal, ensuring a secure environment for all activities to proceed.
