Toronto police seek public help in finding missing 79-year-old woman
Authorities in Toronto are seeking the public’s assistance in locating Maya, a 79-year-old woman who has been missing since Thursday afternoon. Maya was last seen in the vicinity of Finch and Victoria Park Avenues around 4:30 p.m. on July 16.
During a news briefing on Friday, investigators revealed that a concerned citizen reported seeing Maya later that evening in the area of Bayview and Cummer Avenues in North York. Maya was accompanied by a small brown dog at the time of her disappearance.
In their search efforts, authorities have employed drones, a helicopter, and officers on foot to aid in the search for Maya, whose safety is of utmost concern given the prevailing weather conditions.
