Authorities in Toronto have charged the husband of a 29-year-old woman who tragically lost her life in a fatal stabbing incident in North York. The victim, Thi Nguyen, was discovered with stab wounds in a hallway at a high-rise on Fairview Mall Drive. Despite efforts to save her, Nguyen succumbed to her injuries at the scene.
The suspect, identified as 28-year-old Martin Ly from Vaughan, was apprehended and is facing charges of first-degree murder and failure to comply with an undertaking. The police reported that the suspect had fled the scene before their arrival but was later arrested.
The relationship between the victim and the suspect, who are confirmed to be married, remains under investigation, with authorities refraining from disclosing further details about the circumstances surrounding the incident.
