The Burnaby RCMP says it is investigating after a shots-fired incident early Friday morning.
Mounties say they were called to Hastings Street near MacDonald Avenue shortly before 3:30 a.m.
“Officers quickly arrived on scene and conducted a full sweep of the area,” police said.
“No victims were located at the scene, and there were no initial reports of injuries.”
The RCMP says there is no ongoing risk to the public from this incident.
Officers shut down streets in the area after the incident.
“Police are also carrying out a thorough daylight search of the area this morning,” they said in a statement.
“The road will reopen once that work is complete.”
