On Friday evening, Port Moody Police were called to Sasamat Lake.
Around 7:30 p.m., police say they attended the lake’s float walk for a fight that involved several people.
An individual not related to the fight attempted to break up the fight, says police.
In the midst of the fight, the bystander was hurt and lost several of his teeth.
The people involved in the fight fled the scene before police arrived.
Port Moody Police are seeking more witnesses to the fight.
“This lake becomes quite busy in the summer months, and we tend to see an uptick in calls for service,” states Cst. Sam Zacharias.
“We work closely with park rangers to ensure it is a safe environment for all parkgoers and we encourage anyone who witnesses unruly or unsafe behaviour to contact us right away.”
