It’s a wet start to the week, with showers moving in this morning and the risk of thunderstorms developing this afternoon. Rainfall amounts of 5 to 10 millimetres are expected, with daytime highs reaching 28 Celsius and a humidex making it feel closer to 34.
Showers and the chance of thunderstorms will continue tonight, with an overnight low of 19 C.
Wednesday remains unsettled, with more showers expected and local rainfall amounts of around 15 millimetres. Temperatures will top out near 25 C, with a humidex of 31.
Conditions improve heading into Thursday as skies begin to clear, bringing a high of 26 C. Sunshine returns for Friday with a warm high of 29 C, followed by a mix of sun and cloud on Saturday and another high of 29 C.
The long weekend wraps up on a wetter note, with periods of rain expected Sunday and a 60 per cent chance of showers continuing into Monday. Highs will ease back to around 25 C.
