Gunshots Strike Residential Building in Montreal Overnight

Early Friday morning, residents of a quiet neighborhood in Montreal’s Pierrefonds-Roxboro borough were jolted awake by the sound of gunfire. The Montreal police received multiple frantic calls to report shots fired on Basswood Street, close to Alexander Street, at around 1:30 a.m.

Upon arrival, police discovered bullet holes on the rear door of a residential building. The suspects had already fled the scene by the time law enforcement officers reached the area, leaving behind a puzzling and concerning situation with an unknown motive.

Thankfully, no injuries were reported, and authorities have not made any arrests in connection with the incident. The investigation is currently ongoing, aided by the SPVM’s K9 unit and forensic identification technicians to uncover more clues about the disturbing event.
