Recently, construction work for rainwater management and dog park upgrades resulted in temporary closures at the park, causing concerns among residents who rely on the space for daily interaction and recreation.
Residents, including dog owners, expressed their worries about the temporary enclosure, playfully dubbed “the cage,” that was set up during the construction period. Following discussions with borough councillor Leslie Roberts, improvements to the enclosure have been promised.
City officials have assured residents that the temporary dog park enclosure will be expanded by up to 50 percent by the end of the summer, addressing the community’s concerns and ensuring continued access to the park during construction.
