City officials, led by Claude Pinard, are committed to tangible improvements for Chinatown, transitioning from promises to implementation. Pinard emphasized the significance of taking concrete steps to support the local community and shape the future of this cultural hub.
Simultaneously, Ville-Marie is initiating the creation of a comprehensive urban, economic, and social development plan (PDUÉS) to guide the sustainable growth of Chinatown while safeguarding its unique heritage. Pinard expressed pride in the progress made by municipal teams and highlighted the positive impact they aim to achieve.
The decision to introduce an augmented cleaning program reflects feedback from residents and community groups gathered through extensive consultations.
