Toronto police are currently on the lookout for a suspect involved in a reported assault and robbery of an elderly woman.
According to officials, the incident occurred on July 30 at approximately 2:15 p.m. when a male suspect approached the woman while she was walking on a bridge in the Don Mills Road and Overlea Boulevard vicinity.
After allegedly assaulting the woman and causing her to fall to the ground, the suspect proceeded to steal her gold necklace before fleeing in a northbound direction from the scene.
Fortunately, the victim sustained only minor injuries. Authorities have clarified that there was no prior acquaintance between the suspect and the victim.
Described as a Black male standing between five foot five and six inches tall, with a slender physique and medium-length curly black hair, the suspect was last seen donning a black long-sleeved shirt, black jogging pants featuring a white stripe along the side, and black socks.
