A 32-year-old man has been arrested and charged with the first-degree murder of a 30-year-old woman in a downtown Toronto residence in late 2025. Toronto police officers confirmed that Himanshi Khurana was reported missing on December 19, and her body was discovered the next day in a home near Strachan Avenue and Wellington Street West. Authorities deemed Khurana’s death a homicide and issued a Canada-wide warrant for Abdul Ghafoori, a resident of Toronto who had a known connection to the victim.
In an update provided recently, Toronto police homicide officers revealed that they collaborated with both national and international law enforcement agencies to facilitate Ghafoori’s return to Canada, without disclosing his location at the time. Ghafoori was set to appear in a Toronto bail court on Saturday, although the allegations against him have yet to be proven in court.
