In a diverse Montreal neighborhood, concerned locals are seeking answers following a scandal at their local police station that has raised serious questions about racism, discrimination, and misconduct allegations.
Since Montreal Police Chief Fady Dagher announced the disbandment of a 16-member patrol unit in Montréal-Nord on June 12, limited public information has been shared regarding the ongoing investigation.
Despite pressure from journalists and residents for transparency, Dagher revealed in a video message to employees on June 19 that there were growing demands for clarity within the police force regarding the unfolding situation.
