Approximately eight hours later, a distressing report emerged from the Meadow Valley area, where a witness evacuating from the region disclosed a sudden death incident.
The 80-year-old woman, a resident of Meadow Valley, passed away unexpectedly while escaping the flames alongside a family member. The RCMP suspects her demise to be linked to the wildfire, and the BC Coroners Service is actively investigating the circumstances surrounding her tragic death.
