A man from Toronto, aged 34, has been arrested and charged for allegedly assaulting a Parking Enforcement Officer in North York over the weekend.
The incident occurred at the intersection of Sentinel Road and Sheppard Avenue West on Sunday evening, prompting a call to the police at approximately 5:20 p.m.
According to investigators, the Parking Enforcement Officer was attacked while in the process of issuing a parking ticket.
Following the assault, the suspect fled the scene; however, law enforcement managed to apprehend him shortly afterward in the same vicinity.
Premarine Persaud is the individual facing a charge of assaulting a peace officer, but it’s important to note that this allegation has yet to undergo court proceedings.
