Surrey Police Uncover Horrific Trove of 14,000 Child Exploitation Images; Man Faces Serious Charges

The Surrey Police Service (SPS) has announced the arrest of a man following a probe into online child exploitation activities.

The investigation was prompted by reports of potential possession and viewing of child sexual abuse and exploitation material (CSAEM) in May 2025.

In a swift response, authorities carried out a search at a residence in Surrey in August 2025.

A staggering discovery unfolded during the investigation, with law enforcement uncovering a collection of over 14,000 CSAEM images and videos, as revealed in a recent police statement.

Charges have since been laid against a 37-year-old individual, encompassing allegations of CSAEM possession and access.

The suspect was taken into custody on August 6, subsequently being released under specified conditions. The man is slated to appear in court on August 27.
