Toronto police are actively searching for a 63-year-old woman named Ann, who went missing over the weekend in the east end of the city.
Duty Inspector Jonathan Rose provided an update to the press at the command post located at the Latvian Canadian Centre parking lot on 4 Credit Union Dr. The search for Ann has been classified as a Level 1 priority, signifying the utmost urgency for investigators.
“We are requesting any available video footage and reaching out to the public for dashcam recordings or any video material of the area for review,” noted Rose during the briefing.
Ann, who has an Irish accent, was reported missing by her family on August 8. She was last spotted around 12 p.m. on Saturday in the vicinity of Eglinton Avenue East and Victoria Park Avenue. Further information from investigators indicates that she was also sighted at 5:53 p.m. on the same day near Eccleston Drive and Swift Drive, which is a residential area just east of Victoria Park.
Toronto police have shared updated images of Ann and are urging the public to come forward with any information that could assist in locating her. Ann is described as 5-foot-7, with a slender build and shoulder-length blonde hair. She was last seen sporting a white top, black pants, reading glasses, and brown running shoes.
Officers from 33 Division are actively searching neighborhoods, inspecting buildings, and engaging with locals in their efforts to locate Ann. Anyone with information regarding her whereabouts is encouraged to reach out to Toronto police.
