Two men have been charged in connection with the fatal shooting of a passenger inside a taxi in Langley nearly a year ago.
Twenty-four-year-old Taran Pandher was killed on Sept. 5, 2025, while riding in a cab near the intersection of 200 St. and 53 Ave. in Langley.
About 30 minutes after the shooting, a vehicle fire was reported in nearby Surrey. Investigators have said they believed the fire was connected to the homicide.
The Integrated Homicide Investigation Team (IHIT) investigators said they believed the shooting was targeted and linked to the ongoing B.C. gang conflict.

On Friday, IGHT investigators arrested two suspects in connection with Pandher’s death.
A 35-year-old man and a 29-year-old man were charged jointly with one count of conspiracy to commit the murder of Pandher.
“Gang homicides are among the most complex and high-risk investigations to manage,” said Sgt. Freda Fong of IHIT.
Fong said the charges mark an important milestone in the investigation, but police believe others may have been involved.
