The RCMP says it is investigating after a reported stabbing at a residence in Coquitlam’s Burquitlam area Thursday evening.
Police say they were called to the residence, located on Whiting Way near Perth Avenue, just after 8 p.m.
BC Emergency Health Services says paramedics provided emergency medical care at the scene and took one person to hospital in serious condition.

Mounties say the suspect and victim are known to each other.
The suspect remains in custody, the RCMP says.
