Montrealers to be able to pay respects to Oliver Jones at public viewing

The City of Montreal will allow Montrealers to pay their respects to legendary pianist Oliver Jones on August 19.

Jones has been an honourary citizen of the City of Montreal since 2014 and received the title of Commander of the Order of Montreal in 2016.

A book of condolences will also be made available to the public in the Hall of Honour of the town hall to allow the population to express their sympathy to the family and loved ones of Jones throughout the duration of the funeral service.

The public viewing will take place at Hôtel de Ville (Hall d’honneur), between 1:30 p.m. and 9:30 p.m.
