Montreal Canadiens mascot Youppi! is in the running for Best NHL Mascot in USA TODAY Sports’ Readers’ Choice Awards.
Youppi! is one of 20 nominees, with fans able to vote online until Sept. 14 at 11:59 a.m. ET. The top 10 mascots will be announced Sept. 23.
The iconic Montreal mascot was inducted into the Mascot Hall of Fame in 2019, becoming the first representative from a Canadian team to receive the honour.
Montreal also received nominations in three other NHL categories, with the Bell Centre up for Best NHL Arena and Best NHL Arena Food, while Montreal is nominated for Best NHL City.
Fans can vote for Youppi! and the other nominees online.
