The 51-year-old man who was in hospital following a femicide in Villeray–Saint-Michel–Parc-Extension has died in hospital.
The SPVM confirmed his death on Thursday.
Police officers were called Saturday around 1:45 p.m. to an apartment on 9 Avenue, near Crémazie Boulevard East. They arrived to find the body of a woman, who was pronounced dead at the scene.
The 51-year-old man was found with serious injuries to his upper body.
He was taken to hospital, where he has since died.
Montreal police have said the pair were in an intimate partner relationship and that the woman’s body showed signs of violence.
