Coquitlam RCMP is asking witnesses and anyone with dashcam footage to come forward following a serious two-vehicle collision on Lougheed Highway earlier this week.
Police said officers responded to the crash at the intersection of Lougheed Highway and Colony Farm Road at approximately 11:30 a.m. on Aug. 18.
Two people were injured in the collision and transported to hospital for treatment. The severity of their injuries was not immediately disclosed.
The crash resulted in the eastbound lanes of Lougheed Highway being closed for several hours while investigators examined the scene.
The investigation remains ongoing as officers work to determine the cause of the collision.
“Two individuals were injured as a result of this collision,” said Const. Ashleigh Daniels, media relations officer with Coquitlam RCMP. “Investigators are working to determine the cause of the collision and are asking anyone who witnessed the incident or may have relevant video footage to come forward.”
RCMP is seeking witnesses as well as dashcam footage from the area between approximately 11:15 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. on Aug. 18.
