Tragic Incident: Tree Trimmer Dies in Montreal Workplace Accident
A tragic incident occurred on Tuesday morning in Montreal’s Ahuntsic-Cartierville borough as a worker, who was involved in trimming trees, lost their life following a severe workplace accident.
The worker was discovered in a critical condition inside the lift’s bucket after an apparent electrocution incident.
CityNews reports that Montreal police received an emergency call to Francis Street at approximately 10:25 a.m.
Upon arrival, firefighters swiftly intervened to rescue the worker from the lift, administering CPR before swiftly transporting the victim to the hospital.
Authorities have indicated that the CNESST, Quebec’s workplace health and safety commission, will be leading the investigation into the circumstances surrounding this tragic accident.
