Two individuals were hurt when a pedestrian and an electric bike rider collided in the vicinity of the Distillery District late on Tuesday evening. The incident led to Toronto police being summoned to Trinity Street and Eastern Avenue at approximately 9:20 p.m. following reports of the collision. A woman in her 50s, identified as the pedestrian, was transported to the hospital with severe injuries, while the e-bike rider, a man also in his 50s, sustained injuries that are not life-threatening. As a result of the incident, Eastern Avenue is presently closed at Sumach Street to facilitate an investigation.
