The Toronto police have released visuals of a vehicle linked to a severe hit-and-run incident that harmed a woman pedestrian in the Wallace-Emerson neighborhood earlier this week.
Authorities responded to the Lansdowne Avenue and Brandon Avenue vicinity, situated north of Dupont Street, around 8:30 p.m. on Wednesday following reports of a crash.
According to reports, a 34-year-old woman was crossing Lansdowne Avenue at the designated pedestrian crossing on Brandon Avenue when a driver in a white five-door hatchback, allegedly speeding, struck her.
The victim was rushed to a hospital with significant injuries. The driver fled the scene and is currently being sought by law enforcement.
The police are urging local residents, businesses, and motorists with security or dash cam footage of the area or the incident to get in touch with investigators.
