Search Underway for Missing Markham Woman
Search and rescue teams are currently combing the area for a 28-year-old woman from Markham who was reported missing early on Friday morning.
The missing individual, identified as Andrella, is considered vulnerable, according to York police. She was last spotted between 2 and 4 a.m. in the vicinity of Highway 7 East and Birchmount Avenue.
Andrella is described as being five feet eight inches tall, sporting shoulder-length black hair and a red complexion. She may also be seen donning a hijab and carrying a black bag.
Authorities have set up a command post in the area where she was last seen, and residents can anticipate a heightened police presence. Search and rescue teams have been deployed to search through various high-rise buildings and green spaces.
“Given the unusual nature of this disappearance and the significant worry expressed by her family, we are mobilizing all the necessary resources,” stated York police.
