CAQ Leader Disputes Housing Crisis, Québec Solidaire Disagrees
CAQ leader Christine Fréchette asserted on Saturday that the housing crisis has been successfully resolved in various regions, defending her government’s efforts in housing construction.
In response, Québec solidaire (QS) spokesperson Ruba Ghazal criticized Fréchette’s stance, stating that it is disconnected from reality to declare the housing crisis as over.
During a press conference held at a social housing complex in Drummondville, Fréchette explained that the housing market is reaching a state of balance in multiple regions, with a notable 3 percent vacancy rate.
She also mentioned that numerous other regions are progressing towards achieving equilibrium, although specific details were not provided.
