Authorities are currently investigating a suspected case of arson after a fire broke out early in the morning at a business in North York.
Emergency responders rushed to the location on Finch Avenue East near Willowdale Avenue at approximately 3 a.m. on Wednesday following reports of smoke billowing from the building.
Upon arrival, firefighters discovered smoke emanating from the premises and a gas can ablaze in the rear. A broken window at the back of the structure was also observed by the fire crews.
While police have labeled the incident as suspicious, they have not disclosed any specifics regarding potential suspects in the case.
The fire has been successfully put out, and fortunately, no injuries were reported.
