At Tite-Dent, teamwork is key. Instead of traditional roles like receptionists or managers, every team member contributes to the smooth operation of the clinic, leading to reduced operating costs. Dr. Desjardins-Mallette highlighted the clinic’s commitment to efficiency by utilizing cost-effective dental and computer software.
Beyond providing affordable dental care, Tite-Dent is deeply committed to community outreach. By partnering with organizations like Doctors of the World, the clinic reaches out to vulnerable populations, including immigrants and undocumented individuals, who often lack access to dental services. Through these connections, Tite-Dent has been able to donate $175,000 worth of care to those in need.
The cooperative’s impact extends beyond financial contributions. By offering multilingual services in French, English, Spanish, and Arabic, Tite-Dent ensures that patients from diverse backgrounds feel welcomed and understood. This inclusivity has allowed them to assist hundreds of patients from marginalized communities.
Impressively, Tite-Dent has already served around 2,000 patients in less than a year, prompting plans for expansion. With the lease of additional space, the clinic is gearing up to meet the growing demand for their unique, community-focused approach to dental care.
