4-Year-Old Boy Hospitalized in Tragic Accident in Rosemont–La Petite-Patrie

On Saturday in Montreal’s Rosemont–La Petite-Patrie neighborhood, a four-year-old boy was injured in a car accident, according to Montreal police (SPVM).

The incident occurred at approximately 3 p.m. on D’Iberville Street, close to Beaubien Street. The young boy was found conscious but with upper-body injuries at the scene. He was promptly taken to the hospital and is currently in stable condition.

Reports indicate that a 48-year-old driver was heading north on D’Iberville Street when the child tried to cross between Beaubien Street and Elsdale Avenue.

To understand the events leading up to the accident, authorities have cordoned off the area on D’Iberville Street for investigation purposes. Eyewitnesses present at the scene have been interviewed to gather more information.
