In a disturbing incident in Montreal’s Villeray—Saint-Michel—Parc-Extension neighborhood, a young woman, aged 24, ended up in the hospital after being assaulted early Sunday morning. The altercation, involving multiple individuals, erupted at approximately 3:15 a.m. on 9th Avenue near Jarry Street and resulted in a collision between two vehicles.

According to Montreal police, a man reportedly threw an object, potentially a rock or a piece of pavement, at the woman’s face during the confrontation. The victim sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was promptly transported to a nearby hospital for treatment.
