In a disturbing incident in Montreal’s Villeray—Saint-Michel—Parc-Extension neighborhood, a young woman, aged 24, ended up in the hospital after being assaulted early Sunday morning. The altercation, involving multiple individuals, erupted at approximately 3:15 a.m. on 9th Avenue near Jarry Street and resulted in a collision between two vehicles.
According to Montreal police, a man reportedly threw an object, potentially a rock or a piece of pavement, at the woman’s face during the confrontation. The victim sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was promptly transported to a nearby hospital for treatment.
The alleged assailant managed to escape the scene before law enforcement arrived, prompting an ongoing investigation by Montreal police who are actively seeking information from witnesses to shed light on the incident.
