Attention Toronto Subway Riders: Weekend Closure Disrupts Line 1 Service

This weekend, if you’re heading to work or any events in the city, your commute might be impacted by a subway closure. Six stations along Line 1 Yonge-University will temporarily shut down for track work, affecting travel between College and St. Clair stations.

During this closure, shuttle buses will replace subway service at College, Wellesley, Bloor-Yonge, Rosedale, Summerhill, and St. Clair stations. Note that Summerhill and Rosedale stations will be inaccessible to the public, with the Dundonald Street entrance at Wellesley Station also closed.

While other affected TTC subway stations will be open for purchasing or loading PRESTO cards and connecting to surface routes, they will not provide subway services.

This closure follows a recent pattern of early closures between the same stations. Subway users are urged to plan their journeys carefully, allowing extra time for potential delays when transferring from subways to buses.
