A tragic incident unfolded in Toronto’s Don Mills area last weekend as a young man, Raghav Sharma, lost his life in a shooting incident. The 27-year-old victim, hailing from Caledon, was critically injured on September 13 in a shooting that took place at Lawrence Avenue East and Underhill Drive. Despite efforts to save him, Sharma succumbed to his injuries four days later, marking the 25th homicide of the year in Toronto.
The alleged perpetrator, 23-year-old Tahir Mian from Stouffville, surrendered to authorities on September 19 and is now facing a serious charge of second-degree murder in connection with the shooting.
