York Regional Police are seeking the public’s help following a tragic crash that occurred in Vaughan on Sunday evening.
Responding to a collision report at Jane Street and Brandon Gate Drive around 7:40 p.m., officers discovered a yellow vintage sports car had collided with a black SUV.
Tragically, the passenger in the sports car, a 34-year-old man from Stoney Creek, succumbed to his injuries at the scene despite the efforts of emergency responders. The driver of the sports car was rushed to the hospital with serious injuries.
In the SUV, which had three occupants, all individuals were taken to a trauma center. Regrettably, one passenger is in critical condition, while the other two sustained serious injuries.
The circumstances leading up to the crash remain unclear, prompting police to urge any witnesses or individuals with dashcam footage to come forward and assist in the investigation.
