Some Heroic Drivers Rescue Raccoon in Traffic Emergency
In a heartwarming incident last week, a group of quick-thinking motorists teamed up with OPP officers to save a stranded raccoon in a perilous situation on a busy Burlington highway ramp.
The alert drivers noticed the raccoon struggling in the left lane of the ramp connecting eastbound Hwy. 403 to Hwy. 407 and wasted no time in calling the police for help.
Swiftly responding to the calls, OPP officers arrived at the scene within minutes and took immediate action to shield the raccoon from danger by blocking the lane and creating a safe space.
The raccoon, affectionately named Rocky by the officers, was successfully guided off the road and scampered into the nearby brush, seemingly unharmed and free from harm.
