Longueuil police have apprehended a 21-year-old man in connection with a home invasion and sexual assault that took place on September 12 in Longueuil, situated on Montreal’s South Shore. The incident happened around 2:20 a.m.
The suspect, Kevon John McAnuff, was taken into custody by Longueuil police on September 13 and later appeared in court on September 22. He is facing charges that include sexual assault, assault causing bodily harm, breaking and entering a residential property, disguising oneself for criminal intent, and making threats.
Authorities have linked McAnuff to a similar incident that occurred on August 3, 2026. The victims in these two incidents were women of different ages, one in her 20s and the other in her 60s.
McAnuff will remain in custody as legal proceedings continue. Described as 1.78 meters (5’10”) tall and weighing 70 kilograms (154 pounds), he has a slender physique, a unique walking style, and distinct speech patterns. Additionally, he is known to be a smoker and converses in English.
The SPAL is urging individuals who suspect they may have been victims or possess relevant information to come forward and assist investigators.
