A 45-year-old man from Quebec City, Ousmane Bah, has been charged by the police for allegedly making death threats online against Prime Minister Mark Carney. The Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) reported that Bah posted these threats on Facebook, leading to charges of uttering threats and promoting hatred against a specific group.
Following an investigation that began on July 6, Bah made a court appearance on Sept. 24 and is currently in custody awaiting his next court hearing scheduled for Oct. 1.
