Chilliwack RCMP Crack Down on Drug Operation, Seize Drugs, Cash, and Gun
The Chilliwack RCMP recently carried out search warrants at two residences on Victor Street, uncovering a significant cache of illegal substances, money, and a firearm.
According to authorities, the investigation was prompted by information received about suspicious activities at a residence on Victor Street. Subsequent police inquiries led to the issuance of search warrants for two additional properties.
On September 17, a joint operation involving the Chilliwack RCMP and the Crime Reduction Unit was conducted to execute the warrants.
During the operation, law enforcement authorities encountered 23 individuals at the targeted residences, the majority of whom were temporarily detained for questioning before being released. However, two individuals with outstanding arrest warrants were taken into custody.
The searches yielded suspected fentanyl, methamphetamine, cocaine, a significant amount of cash, and a firearm.
Following the raids, officials from the Chilliwack Bylaw department inspected the properties and posted “No Occupancy” notices in an effort to prevent any further illegal activities at the locations.
The RCMP confirmed that the investigation is still ongoing, and charges are expected to be filed in connection with the case.
