Emergency responders rushed to a house in the east-end neighborhood early on a Saturday morning following reports of a fire.
The incident occurred close to the intersection of Gerrard Street East and Jones Avenue, shortly before 8 a.m.
Fortunately, the occupants of the house had already evacuated by the time firefighters arrived.
Upon entering the premises, fire crews encountered thick smoke and conducted a thorough search of the residence.
Although the fire was restricted to one house, it also affected a fence in the backyard.
By around 9 a.m., the blaze had been successfully extinguished with no injuries reported.
