Authorities in Peel Region are actively seeking a man in connection with an unsettling incident involving a child in Brampton.
According to officials, the incident occurred on Sept. 23 when a child was walking near Flamingo Crescent and Forsythia Road around 4 p.m. An unknown man approached the child, resulting in a brief physical encounter before the child managed to break free and leave the vicinity. Thankfully, the child did not sustain any physical injuries.
The man is described as being of South Asian descent, aged between 25 and 30, standing around six feet tall with a slender build and straight, medium-length black hair that reaches his ears. He was last spotted wearing a black cloth face mask that covered the lower part of his face, along with a white t-shirt and long brown pants. His direction of travel was eastbound on Forsythia Road towards Folkstone Crescent.
Authorities are urging anyone who may have witnessed the incident or has any relevant dashcam, doorbell, or other video footage from the area at the time to come forward and contact the police.
