With less than a week left in Quebec’s provincial election campaign, the main political parties are intensifying their efforts to win over voters.
The Coalition Avenir Québec, Quebec Liberal Party, Parti Québécois, Québec solidaire, and Quebec Conservatives are all vying for seats in the upcoming election, each with high expectations.
According to Élections Québec, a significant portion of eligible voters have already participated in advance polling, with nearly a quarter casting their ballots.
Immigration has emerged as a key issue during the campaign, sparking heated debates between the Coalition Avenir Québec and the Conservatives, who have both pledged to decrease the admission of temporary immigrants and asylum seekers in the province. The Parti Québécois has also made similar commitments.
Quebecers are set to head to the polls on October 5th.
