Two police officers from Laval were injured in a collision with a civilian vehicle while rushing to an emergency call. The incident occurred at 11:30 a.m. on Boulevard des Laurentides in the Vimont district of Laval.
Both officers were transported to Sacré-Cœur Hospital in Montreal for treatment of their non-life-threatening injuries. The 49-year-old civilian driver also sustained lower-body injuries that were deemed not serious.
Investigators from the police are set to examine the crash site to determine the cause of the accident. As a result, Boulevard des Laurentides will be temporarily closed to northbound traffic between Saint-Martin Boulevard and Dakar Street.
