Vancouver Police Warn Public About High-Risk Sex Offender Moving to the City
The Vancouver Police Department (VPD) is alerting the public about the presence of a high-risk sex offender, Skylar Wayne Pelletier, who will be residing in the city. Pelletier, known for his history of sexual assault, break-ins, and assault, poses a significant threat to women in the area.
Having been released to Vancouver on previous occasions under long-term supervision orders, including as recently as 2024, Pelletier’s presence raises concerns among law enforcement. Described as six foot one, 180 pounds, with a medium build, short black hair, and brown eyes, he is easily recognizable.
Pelletier is subject to strict conditions imposed by the VPD while living in Vancouver, including a curfew from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m., abstaining from drugs and alcohol, avoiding contact with any of his victims, and refraining from possessing knives. The VPD emphasizes the importance of reporting any violations of these conditions by Pelletier immediately by dialing 9-1-1.
