Today marks the voting day in Quebec, where citizens will decide who will lead them for the next four years. Over 1.6 million eligible voters have already cast their votes during early voting, as reported by Élections Québec.
A total of 908 candidates from 20 registered parties and independents are vying for 125 seats in the Quebec National Assembly. With more than 15,000 polling stations set up across 3,000 locations in the province, voting will take place from 9:30 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Voters can locate their assigned polling stations on mailed reminder cards, the Élections Québec website, or by calling 1‑888‑ELECTION. While a reminder card is not mandatory, it can expedite the voting process. The majority of polling stations are accessible to individuals with mobility challenges, and accommodations can be arranged by contacting the returning officer if needed.
Preliminary election results will be available starting at 8 p.m. on the CityNews elections page. Stay updated with the latest election coverage on CityNews throughout the day.
