Toronto police have unveiled fresh photographs of a second individual wanted in relation to a shooting incident at Polson Pier over the summer.
Authorities reported that on July 12, a shootout occurred involving 25-year-old Omar Abdul Singateh from Brampton and an unidentified individual.
Following the gunfire exchange, Singateh allegedly carjacked a rideshare vehicle with passengers inside before fleeing the scene, colliding with pedestrians and other vehicles.
Two gunshot victims and one individual hit by the car were taken to the hospital. Singateh himself sustained gunshot wounds, leading to his arrest and hospitalization.
Upon investigation, law enforcement found a firearm in the stolen vehicle. Singateh faces charges including firearm offenses, robbery, and dangerous driving causing harm.
In a recent update, Toronto police seek the public’s help in identifying the second suspect linked to the July 12 incident, described as having a moustache and last seen in specific attire.
Those with information are urged to contact authorities for assistance.
